The Bible teaches us that we were created to have a relationship with God through Jesus His Son. Not a religious experience but a tangible real life relationship with God. That comes about by people realizing their need for God because of sin. Some think that they are good people and they wouldn't hurt anyone but, the bible saiys that we all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. So we can't even earn our salvation by good works. The Good news is that God sent His only Son Jesus into the world to die for our sins.

In order to receive Jesus we must acknowledge that sin and repent from it. Repent simply means to turn away from it. Right now your heading away from God so when you repent, you turn around and head toward Him.

Having acknowledged your sin God wants to forgive you your sins. The great thing is that because His Son Jesus died for your sins then all you have to do is believe that and receive Him as Lord and Saviuor and you will be saved, it's that simple. You do that by praying.

Dear Lord Jesus,

I know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe in and thank you for your death on the cross, which paid for my sins. I want to repent and turn from my sins. So I now invite You to come into my heart and life. I want you to be my Lord and Savior. Help me to become the kind of person You want me to be, in Jesus' name.
